We’ve just finished upgrading VMWare infrastructure from version 6.0 to version 6.5 and we’ve noticed that vSphere Web Client (Flash) is not working anymore with Firefox. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After accessing vCenter IP Address, we select vSphere Web Client (Flash) as in the screenshot<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
and we are getting the following error:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Error: Error #2134 at com.vmware.flexutil.logging::StorageObjectWriter\/initialize() at com.vmware.flexutil.logging::StorageObjectWriter$\/getInstanceByName() at com.vmware.flexutil.logging::LocalStoreTarget\/initialize() at com.vmware.flexutil.logging::LogManager$\/addTarget() at com.vmware.flexutil.logging::LogManager$\/addConfiguration() at com.vmware.flexutil.logging::LogManager$\/onConfigLoaded() at ConfigurationLoader\/onLoadSuccess() at flash.events::EventDispatcher\/dispatchEvent() at flash.net::URLLoader\/onComplete()”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our Firefox version is 70.0.1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The solution is pretty straight forward, you have to modify only one parameter in Firefox configuration. Please check bellow the solution:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Step One – Open Firefox and modify parameter<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Open Firefox browser and in the URL field, insert the text “about:config” and accept the warning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the top filter bar, enter “sandbox”, change dom.ipc.plugins.sandbox-level.flash from “3” to “0” and restart Firefox. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step two – re-open vSphere<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Now re-open vSphere Web Client (Flash) and you will be able to access vCenter without any problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
